Terms of Service.
These Terms of Service (hereby known as '“Terms”) serve as the contract between you and Andrew Dunn Tuition (hereby known as “A.D. Tuition”). By signing up for any of our services (online tutoring or proofreading), you hereby agree to them.
1. Basis for this Contract
This contract between you and A.D. Tuition begins once payment has been made for our services.
2. Prices
Prices for each of our services are clearly shown on our website. VAT is included in these prices unless otherwise stated. In the case where the service of online tutoring is requested, a 30-minute introductory video call is offered completely free of charge, with no financial obligation to continue with our services afterwards.
3. Payment
Regardless of the type of service requested (online tuition or proofreading & editing), payment must be made before the service can be delivered (no session of an online tuition package will be delivered before payment). Where online tuition packages are concerned, any type of payment structure must be agreed with and approved by A.D. Tuition prior to delivery of any service. You will receive an invoice detailing the services requested, and this invoice must be paid before delivery of service can be made.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
4.1. Online Tuition
The cancellation period required depends upon the type of service requested. For online tutoring, the cancellation period changes depending upon which tuition package you have purchased. The cancellation period for sessions in each package are are as follows: (a) 1-hour lesson: 48 hours; (b) 5-hour package: 48 hours; (c) 10-hour package: 24 hours; (d) Full Academic Year package: 1 hour.
Where cancellation for a 1-hour lesson is within 48-hours, payment for the lesson will not be refunded. For the 5-hour, 10-hour, and Full Academic year packages, failure to cancel a session before the required cancellation period will result in those hours being lost from the package.
Cancellations can be made via email or text message/WhatsApp (where applicable). Note that the cancellation time will counted as when the message is received in our email inbox or WhatsApp, and not when we have read the message. Therefore, please ensure that, in the event of a cancellation, you email is in your ‘Sent’ mailbox, or you WhatsApp message shows 2 ticks on the message (indicating that it has been delivered).
Failure to cancel without notice on multiple occasions (at the discretion of A.D. Tuition) will result in your contract with A.D. Tuition being terminated without any refund for the remainder of any hours not yet delivered.
Full refunds can be given on any package purchased before any sessions have taken place, provided the appropriate aforementioned cancellation period is respected. Where this is not the case, and a refund is requested within the cancellation period, the first session will be charged and the remainder of the sessions will be refunded. Once the first session of a package has been delivered, any refunds requested will be given at the discretion of A.D. Tuition.
4.2. Proofreading and Editing
For proofreading and editing services, cancellation of your order can be made before payment at no charge to yourself. However, once payment has been received and work on your order has been started, a cancellation can be made (at which point work on your order will stop) but any refunds will be at the discretion of A.D. Tuition.
5. Interruption to Services
If it is necessary for us to interrupt the service, we will give you reasonable notice where possible. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that services may be interrupted for reasons beyond our control. In the event of any interruption to services, you will not be penalised, and any loss of hours will be rescheduled to a later date.
