Hi, I’m Dr. Andrew Dunn
I’m a full-time chemistry, maths, and physics tutor.
I’ve been studying chemistry for the last 17 years; starting in high school, before taking a Master’s degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. After graduating in 2015, I then did my PhD at Strathclyde where I researched separation processes for chiral pharmaceutical molecules. In 2019, I then moved to Brussels, Belgium, where I was a postdoc at l’Université Libre de Bruxelles researching the separation of chiral molecules in magnetic fields.
I’ve now left the life of academia to help students all over the world achieve their own academic goals since turning to tutoring full-time in 2023.
My Tutoring Approach
The sciences can sometimes be hard, confusing and difficult to grasp (I’ve been there myself!), but I promise, it can become easier with practice, guidance, and most importantly, self-confidence.
My goal here is to help you find that self-confidence.
Every student is different, and we all learn in different ways. My job is to tailor your lessons to suit you, so that you can get the most out of each lesson and learn as much as possible. Regardless of your ability in the subject I’m teaching, I want to help you improve and gain confidence in your own abilities. Therefore, I actively encourage my students to make mistakes and ask as many questions as possible. This is one of the most effective ways we can all learn.
So, if you’re struggling to understand what’s going on in class, or you want some extra tuition to improve your knowledge in specific areas of the subject, send me a message and we can have a chat about how I can help you.
